Peanut Butter Wings (no really).


Confession time. 

My favourite food in all the whole wide world? Peanut-anything. Sweet peanut things, savoury peanut things (hello thai food), raw peanuts, peanut butter. You name it. Never met a peanut I didn't like. They can put that on my tombstone if they still have tombstones in whatever post-apocalyptic world we're living in in 20wheneverIdie...

Raw Raspberry and Chevre Walnut Tart with Boozy Caramel Sauce

Fresh raspberries, walnut and coconut butter crust, creamy chevre-lemon-and-honey filling, and a bourbon-based
caramel sauce. Yep. 

Yum!   Dessert!  it’s time for something healthy...ish. 

Now true story - I'm not much of a dessert person. I like something sweet once in awhile, but a) not too sweet and b) no cooked fruit. I HATE cooked fruit. Pie, muffins, chunky jam.. bleeeergh. I also don't really like cake (carrot cake and this cake excluded), and a variety of other delicious things. Yep, I know, I'm a weirdo.

Spicy chicken nachos with lime and habanero chicken, guacamole, chevre, cheddar, tomatoes, beans, corn, cilantro,
green onions, and tomatoes. 

Trying new things can be scary. 

I try to force myself to do new things, whether that's something as pedantic as eating meat for the first time in a decade (eep), or deciding to run for public office (double eep).

Last night I tried to make some epic nachos. Not so scary you'd think, right?

I don't want to alarm you, but today is September 9th and it's supposed to snow. Time to get ready for winter apparently...

Not only is it supposed to snow, it's a goshdarned Tuesday. I know Wednesday is supposed to be the traditional worst/hump day of the week but for me it's normally my most productive day, and cause for celebration because I'm halfway closer to the weekend. And I don't even hate my job.
